Baton Rouge - July ACT Prep Course

Service Description

In this course, students will take part in 12 hours of ACT test preparation from an expert ACT instructor and author with thousands of hours of prep class experience and hundreds or thousands of improved ACT scores: Mr. Philip Martin. Strategies will be taught, content will be renewed, and myths about the ACT exam will be dispelled. The class includes The ACT System prep book and access to the pre-recorded ACT prep course by the same name for further personal preparation and growth. By the end of the 12 hours, each student will have taken and reviewed at least an entire ACT test and will have been taught how to employ the best strategic approaches to each individual test: English, Math, and Reading (Writing and Science will be discussed, just not in depth, since they are optional and do not affect ACT scores). In addition, the content that will receive the most attention from the instructor is in part dependent upon the visible needs of each class, especially from the English and Math ACT tests (which are heavy in testing learned content). Lastly, recent changes to the ACT will be thoroughly examined. Classes will take place in the Tiger's Den classroom or meeting room at the Courtyard by Marriott South in Baton Rouge, LA (10307 North Mall Dr.), though the location is subject to change. The schedule is as follows: Monday, July 6th: 9:00 AM - 12:00 noon *One Hour Break for Lunch* Monday, July 6th: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM Tuesday, July 7th: 9:00 AM - 12:00 noon *One Hour Break for Lunch* Tuesday, July 7th: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM (Saturday, July 11th is a nationally administered ACT exam, though this course can be thought of as preparation for any future ACT test).
